We will then ask you to provide the required documents before your account can be opened. We can also have your online banking, debit cards, credit cards and cheque books ready and delivered to your home or an address at your destination - just to keep your checklist as short as possible.

You'll also receive a checklist of required documents* that you need to take to the branch if you are planning to open your account before you arrive at your destination.

If you're a Premier customer, there are no charges. If you're a non-Premier customer, you can find information on fees and any other charges by using our live chat service or contacting your nearest branch.

Once you’ve submitted your application, you will be asked to provide required documents before your account can be opened, therefore time can vary. We will contact you within 48 hours. This is also subject to status, and local laws and regulations.

We'll then contact you with further information and PIN details. You'll also receive a welcome call from our International Banking Centre to answer any questions you may have.

Yes. You can choose the delivery address when filling in your application form. This is also subject to status, and local laws and regulations.

No, you don't. We offer accounts that support multiple currencies and you can easily manage your finances wherever you are. Here's a list of the currencies supported by accounts in different destination countries or regions.
